Our Elul Program kicked off on August 18, with a Shiur by Dr. Rivka Press Schwartz. Dr. Schwartz spoke on the topic of "'You Didn't Build That': Shemita and the Torah's Perspective on Earning and Owning."

Dr. Rivka Schwartz oversees the curricular development of Frisch’s General Studies, and is responsible for the placement of students and observation of classes. Dr. Schwartz earned her B.A. at Case Western Reserve University, after which she began her graduate studies in the history of science at Princeton. She earned her M.A. (History of Modern Physics and Twentieth-Century American History) and Ph.D. (History/History of Science) from Princeton University. Dr. Schwartz has spent more than fifteen years in the field of Jewish secondary and post-secondary education. Most recently she served as Assistant Principal and taught A.P. European and U.S. History at SAR High School in Riverdale, New York. She is also the Rebbetzin of MSJC.
